NFL pools, answered

How survivor, pick’em, Pick 5, confidence and squares work, what they cost, and how your crew joins.

What can I run?

Eleven formats, all live. NFL: Survivor (pick a team to win each week, or Anytime-TD where you pick a player to score), TD Chase, Weekly Pick'em, Pick 5, Confidence, and Super Bowl Squares (the 10x10 grid). CFB: Ranked Survivor (one pick off the Top 25 slate each week, no team twice, all the way to the National Championship), College Pick'em, College Pick 5, and College Confidence off the AP Top 25 slate, plus Bowl Pick'em covering every bowl and the Playoff.

What is TD Chase?

A season-long touchdown race you won't find on the big pool apps. Pick one player each week; a touchdown banks their price in points. Prices come from the real sportsbook anytime-TD odds and reset every week, so the chalk pays 8 and true longshots pay 40. No player twice all season, nobody gets eliminated, most points at season's end wins the pot.

Where can I run an anytime-touchdown pool online?

Right here. Anytime-TD Survivor and TD Chase are built around the anytime-TD market: pick a player to find the end zone, with prices from the real sportsbook odds. It's the format commissioners come to TourneyRun for, and most pool sites don't offer it.

Who pays, and how much?

Only the commissioner ever pays, and it is free under 15 players. Past that, a flat fee scales with the pool (about pennies a head on big pools). Entrants always play free.

Do you take a cut of the pot?

Never. You collect buy-ins yourself over Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal, and the prize is 100% yours. We only charge a flat fee for the software, and we never hold a dollar of the pot.

How is TourneyRun different from RunYourPool or Splash Sports?

Flat fee, no rake. The commissioner pays once per pool (free under 15 players) and members never pay TourneyRun anything. We never touch the pot: buy-ins move commissioner-to-crew over Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal. And formats like TD Chase and Anytime-TD Survivor aren't on the big pool apps.

Can the commissioner choose which games we pick?

Yes. Pick'em, Pick 5, and Confidence pools run on the automatic board (the full NFL slate, or the AP Top 25 in college) or on games you hand-pick each week from the commissioner console. You can set your own spreads too, and the automatic board stands in for any week you skip.

How do people join?

You get an invite code and link when you create the pool. Text it to your crew, they tap and they are in. No app to install.

How does scoring work?

Automatically, from the real NFL and CFB schedules. Survivor eliminations, pick results, TD Chase points, and standings all update once games finalize. No commissioner spreadsheet math.

What's the difference between Pick'em, Pick 5, and Confidence?

Pick'em is one point per correct pick across the whole slate. Pick 5 is the same scoring but you only choose five games a week, which keeps casual players in it all season. Confidence adds a twist: you rank every pick by confidence points, so being right about the games you're sure of matters most.
