Run a college basketball survivor pool

Pick a team to win, never the same team twice, and outlast everyone else. Your crew picks once a day, once a round, or twice on the 16-game days. Every pick locks at its own tip and stays hidden until then.

How often does everyone pick?

The commissioner chooses when the pool is created: one pick per tournament day, one pick per round, or two picks on the days that carry 16 games and one on every other day. The choice is locked in the slot map the first time the schedule loads, so the labels never move mid-tournament.

When does a pick lock?

At its own game's tip, not at a pool-wide deadline. Every pick stays hidden from the rest of the pool until the game it is on tips, then it shows in the grid.

Can I pick the same team twice?

No. A team is burned for the rest of the tournament once you use it, across every slot and across both picks of a two-pick day. On a two-pick day the two picks also have to come from two different games.

What happens if I forget to pick?

With auto-pick on, the sweep gives you the biggest seed edge still available in that slot once its first game has tipped, flagged as an auto-pick on your ticket and in the grid. With auto-pick off, a missed slot is a strike or an elimination, depending on the pool.

What if a game never gets a result?

The pick is voided. You survive the slot and no strike is charged.

How many entries can one person have?

Up to 3, set by the commissioner. The pool-size price counts people, not entries.

What does it cost?

The commissioner pays one flat fee based on how many people are in the pool: free up to 14, $20 up to 40, $40 up to 80, $65 up to 150 and $99 up to 250. Members never pay TourneyRun, and the buy-in is collected and paid out by the commissioner.
