The lock is computed from the course longitude, so an event in the UK closes earlier in UTC than one on the US East Coast; a venue with no stored longitude falls back to Thursday 12:00 UTC. You can edit your lineup as many times as you like until then. Season Long lineups lock at Thursday 12:00 UTC every week.
In an Office Pool, up to 3 entries per member if the commissioner turns it on. Each entry carries its own picks, team name, tiebreaker and standings line. The default is 1. Salary Cap, Snake Draft and Season Long are one entry per member.
From the tournament field, sorted by betting odds into odds ranges, so tiers are not equal in size. Five tiers by default, and the commissioner sets how many picks come out of each one. Tour fields land around the Monday of tournament week: set the tiers before that and the golfers fill in when the field drops.
In an Office Pool, whatever the commissioner picked at creation: a fixed penalty of 8 strokes per missed round, the worst round carded by the field that day, a custom penalty of 1 to 10 strokes, or Exclude, which adds nothing for the missing rounds (his first two rounds still count in stroke play). Salary Cap and Snake Draft use the 8-stroke default. TourneyRun does not detect no-cut events on its own.
The commissioner pays once per league, priced by the team cap: $12.99 up to 20 teams, $19.99 to 40, $24.99 to 60, $34.99 to 100, $49.99 to 300 and $69.99 above that. Snake Draft is free during its beta, and Season Long is $12.99 for the season. Members never pay TourneyRun, and TourneyRun never holds the pot.
It comes down to group size and how the group wants to get golfers. The Office Pool works for groups of up to 999 with no live event. A Snake Draft is built for 4 to 12 people in a live draft room (anyone away is auto-picked). A Salary Cap pool lets everyone choose from the whole field under a budget. Season Long is for a group that wants to set a lineup every week.
In an Office Pool or a Salary Cap pool, yes: any number of members can hold the same golfer. In a Snake Draft or Season Long, no: each golfer belongs to one team.
Only the Office Pool. Each entry predicts the winning score to par, from -30 to +10, and the closest prediction, over or under, breaks a tie. In the other formats tied teams share the place.
