Picking golfers comes down to odds, form, course fit and cut risk. What each is worth depends on your pool's scoring and format, so every section here is tied to the rules TourneyRun actually runs.
The commissioner decides. On TourneyRun an Office Pool starts at 7 golfers across five tiers, Salary Cap at 6, a Snake Draft at 7 (4 to 8), and a Season Long lineup starts up to 6 a week. A common setup elsewhere is pick six and count the best four, which an Office Pool can copy with 6 picks and the worst 2 dropped.
In an Office Pool or Salary Cap pool any number of entries can hold the same golfer, and a golfer on every entry cannot change the order between them. Other members' picks stay hidden until the lock, so you cannot see who is popular before you pick.
Office Pool entries predict the winner's score to par, any whole number from -30 to +10; the stepper starts at -12. Ties on team score go to the prediction closest to the winner's 72-hole total, over or under, so there is no advantage in guessing low or high.
Only in TourneyRun Style scoring. In a single-tournament pool every entry is multiplied by the same 1.5, so the order does not change. In Season Long a major week counts 1.5 times as much as a regular one.
Until the lock, yes, as often as you like. After the lock only the commissioner can swap a pick, for another golfer in the same tier.
If your draft room is open, your queue picks for you with 3 seconds left. If you are not in the room, the server picks the best available golfer by world ranking after 10 seconds, not from your queue.
No. Each tier is an odds range, so its size depends on how the board is priced that week. The commissioner can move a golfer to another tier or re-run the auto-balance before the lock.
